
Shiony was born September 14th, 1960 in the Philippines to Herman and Thelma Dela Torre and was the oldest of seven siblings. Shiony had a thirst for life and spent many years traveling the world as an model, dancer, entertainer before settling her roots in the United States in the 80’s and starting a family Her career took her to Japan, Kuwait, Syeria, Iraq, Greece to name a few. She was a very special woman, a survivor with strong will and determination.
Shiony is survived by her husband, Mark Jean. Daughter and Son-in-law, Keesha and Brayden Gregory, and two beautiful granddaughters, Olivia and Emmy Gregory, Sister in Law Jennifer her husband Richard Troncone and 5 remaining siblings. Marilou, Marites, Alfredo, Alex, and Joel.
Besides traveling the world, Shiony loved spending time with her family, dancing, and cooking for a crowd. Often she would make meals for 10 or more because she wanted to to make people happy. Her homecooked meals are what brought people together. She was the best partner on the motorcycle, enduring rain, hail, cold and HOT all up and down the east coast and as far west as St Louis. Shion enjoyed seeing new places and meeting new people with Mark.
Shiony had a bright and energetic personality and was always willing to help others. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
She was loyal to the core, a wonderful wife, best friend, mentor, guide, and absolutely wonderful partner.
Family and friends will be invited to several Celebration of Life for Shiony that will be posted at a later date. They will be in Alabama, at Hobbs Island Church, Perrin TX and Venice Florida, her final resting place.
