

June 20, 1935 – February 10, 2018
Betty J. Aderholdt, 82 passed away peacefully on Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Aderholdt was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Birdie Turner Bivins; and three brothers, David, Richard and Eugene Bivins.
Left to cherish her precious memory is her loving husband of close to 62 years, James “Herb” Aderholdt; two daughters, Kristel Schmidt Blake and her husband Eric of West Palm Beach, FL, and Erin Aderholdt of Madison, AL; two sisters, Sara Lewis and husband Vernon of Tulsa, OK, and Carol Busch and husband Larry of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren, Nick and Cody Schmidt of West Palm Beach, FL; a dear special friend, Lucy Thrasher of Huntsville; and several other relatives and friends.
Betty loved life and family and all things beautiful. She worked most of her life as a technician with careers at GTE and Motorola in Huntsville. She was an avid reader and gardener and a faithful member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church for 48 years. Betty Aderholdt was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM. A funeral service conducted by Dr. David Freeman will commence at 2:00PM in Valhalla’s chapel. The entombment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Garden’s Chapel of Love Court.
