Charles “Lee” L. Knapp, Jr, age 64, of Madison, passed away on March 25, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Ruth Knapp. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Natalie Rickert (Ryan), Sarah Barnes (Tommy), Sam Knapp, Mary Beth Vaughn (Chris), and Rachel Knapp; grandchildren Alethea, London, Haven, and Alistair Rickert, and Thomas Barnes; sisters Nancy Hurley (John), and Carol Kociscak (Bill), and brother Bob Knapp; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lee retired from the Army after 22 years and continued his service by working at Missile Defense Agency on Redstone Arsenal. Outside of work, he enjoyed road trips and the great outdoors. He was also a supporter of youth sports and refereed soccer in his spare time. Lee was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 2pm-3pm with the funeral service including military honors following at 3pm at Valhalla Funeral Home.
