DOROTHY K BABCOCK May 13, 1924 – May 11, 2015 Dorothy K. Babcock, 90, went home to be with her blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Hunt Whitehead; her loving husband of over 60 years, Charles G. Babcock; her son, William Babcock; her daughter, Debra Smith; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Left to cherish her precious memory is her sister, Vivian Anderson (Earl) of Huntsville; 5 granddaughters, Brandy Quoma (Richard) of Tampa, FL, Hillary Smith of Tampa, Libby Babcock Quinones (Rogelio) of North Carolina, Nicki Smith of Cleveland, GA, Lisa Roney (Rick) of Cordova, TN; 2 grandsons, Jonathan Smith of Tampa, FL and Brandon Smith (Shannon) of Huntsville; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorothy was a loyal servant of God and a student of the Bible. She practiced her faith wherever she went. She was quite the accomplished seamstress and an avid reader. Dorothy was a loyal friend to many and loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She was very involved in several charity groups with both her time and finances. Dorothy Babcock was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Rev. Joel McGraw commencing at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Valhalla’s Chapel.
