Dorothy Bevill Lasater, 85 of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away Monday, June 13th with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Lasater was preceded in death by her parents, Math and Edgie Bevill; two sisters, Pauline Davis, Frances Bevill (infant); one brother, Howard Bevill; two infant brothers; one grandson, Matt Tunstill.
Mrs. Lasater was retired from Walnut Grove School lunchroom, where she was lovingly known as “Granny” by the students.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Vernon Lasater; three daughters, Nelda (Robert) Sharp of Hazel Green, AL, Sherry (Dennis) Tunstill of Flintville, TN, Sharon (David) Cook of Hazel Green, AL; one son, Ralph (Sandra) Lasater of New Market, AL; five grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Payne, LeAnne Sharp, Karen (Michael) Neely, Johnny (Sabrina) Rice, Nick Lasater; 7 great grandchildren, Mallory, Evan Math, Kirsty, Colin, Niki, Brandon, Sydney and Harper.
