Elaine Beddingfield Mynatt

Elaine was born in Athens, Alabama on November 19, 1948, to John J. and Emma Lourean Beddingfield. After graduating from Hazel Green High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Athens State University in 1978. After working for NASA in Huntsville, Alabama at several positions she retired as a budget analyst in 2005.

In 2000 Elaine married Mike Mynatt of Gadsden, Alabama and they relocated to Guntersville, where she volunteered for many years as an RSVP tax preparer.

Elaine loved teaching line dancing, trips to the beach, attending Connect Church, Alabama Football, as well as spending time with family, friends, and her companion rescue dog Tidbit.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; John & Emma Beddingfield, her sister; Ophelia Berryhill, and her brother; Carols Beddingfield.

Elaine is survived by her devoted and loving husband; Mike, sisters; Peggy Holder, and Barbara White of Tennessee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and physical therapists of Enhabit Home Health of Albertville for their kind and professional care given to Elaine.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation in her memory to the Guntersville Animal Shelter or any charity of your choice.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Road, NE Huntsville, AL 35811, with the family receiving friends beginning at 2:00 pm.
