Born on November 23, 2001, in Huntsville, Alabama, Evan was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. Evan never met a stranger—his kind heart, easy smile, and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on all he encountered. Deeply devoted to his family, Evan cherished every moment spent with them.
Evan loved the outdoors and could often be found with a fishing pole in hand or diving into any body of water he could find—he never passed up a chance to swim. He also enjoyed spending countless hours playing video games with his closest friends, creating memories full of laughter and camaraderie.
He is survived by his loving mother, Joy Armengolt, his grandmothers, Wanda Harbin (preceded in death by her husband Joe), and Wanda Smith (David Wilbanks); his grandfather Ricky (preceded in death by his wife Michelle); his great-grandmother Ola (preceded in death by her husband Eugene); his brothers, Wesley Harbin and Trenton Allen; his half-sister, Hazel; and his aunts: Patricia (Mike) Jenkins, Crystal, Summer, Amber, and Brittney.
Evan also leaves behind many cousins who adored him, including Michael, Christopher, Jacob, Faith, Ashley (Nick), Cody, Skylar, Taylor, Christian, Krista, Gabe, and Chase. He will be dearly missed by his closest friends—Riley, Anthony, Trey, and Christian—who were like brothers to him. He is also survived by countless other great friends and extended family members who loved him deeply.
Evan was preceded in death by his great-grandparents JD and Rachel, and he joins them now in peaceful rest.
Though his time with us was far too short, Evan’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His warmth, humor, and fierce loyalty will never be forgotten.
Services will be held in his honor on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 with a visitation from 1:00PM – 3:00PM and funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. He will then be laid to rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
