

Retired Staff Sergeant Garold Kirk "Gary" Webster, was born on June 30, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on January 3, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1974 to 1992, dedicating nearly two decades of his life to military service. He was the son of Armond Burnell Webster and Louie Lois Webster (née Hayes) both deceased. Gary was also predeceased by his sister Gwynne Stanhope of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Gary is survived by his wife, Colene D. Webster of Huntsville, Alabama; his daughter, Tisha Rae Fromal, and granddaughter, Sophie Belle Fromal, both of Roseville, California; his stepdaughter Karen S. Albright (Mark) and grandchildren, Ben Albright, Cassie Segewitz (Andrew), Jackson Albright, and great-grandchildren Adalyn and Asa Segewitz, stepson Jason A. Holly (Jennifer), of Huntsville; and his sister Olivia Tschappler (née Webster) of Phoenix, Arizona.
Gary will be remembered for his dry humor and signature style—marked by a sturdy mustache, well-starched overalls, and an old green pickup truck that only he could love. A passionate gardener with a penchant for overdoing everything he set out to accomplish, Gary cultivated an impressive array of fruits and vegetables. He was also known for his adventurous palate—adding cayenne pepper to dishes that most would never dare—and for his favorite pastime: giving those around him a good-natured hard time.
Gary’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. May his humor and spirit continue to bring smiles to all who remember him.
Visitation for Gary will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be a the celebration of life service with military honors at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Gary will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
