Gary is survived by his daughter Keshia Carter (Ross); his daughter Nicole Hicks; his daughter Brandi Newberry; and his daughter Jessica Selvage (Kelvin); his brother Ralph Newberry (Kathy), his brother Bill Newberry (Jean) and his sister Barbara Luhn; his grandchild Hunter, his grandchild Garrett, his grandchild Tyler, his grandchild Carson, his grandchild Christopher, his grandchild Hunter, his grandchild Brantley, his grandchild Alyssa, his grandchild Ryder and his grandchild Kyler. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife Dawn Newberry; his son Drew Newberry; his parents Grady & Mabel Newberry; his sister Juanita Mae Newberry.
Gary loved watching Nascar, his favorite driver was Mark Martin until he retired. He liked the Braves and Alabama Football, but his heart was really an Arkansas Razorback. Gary always had a blast out on the river driving the boat and the seadoo and seeing how long the kids hold on until they went skipping across the water. He was the I can do it myself type of man and never let his emotions get the best of him. He would love with everything he had and then some. He was tough on us when needed but there when we just needed someone to listen.
A visitation for Gary will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
