James Daniel “Dan” Lamb, Jr., 69, of Huntsville passed away on the morning of Monday, August 4th surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born in Huntsville on July 30, 1956, son of the late James Daniel Lamb, Sr. and the late Margie Lodema Stringer Lamb.
Dan was a devoted father and loving husband, and first and foremost, he was a steadfast follower of Christ. A retiree of Chrysler and PPG, he committed much of his time in retirement to spoiling his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was also an enthusiastic fan of Alabama Crimson Tide athletics. But many if not most will remember Dan for his positive outlook and his contagious smile.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 48 years Patricia, sons Daniel of Jackson, MS and Matthew and his wife Rachel, grandchildren Brody and Caroline, and sister Patricia Kelsoe and her husband Tim of Holly Pond, AL.
You may visit with the family on Thursday, August 7th from noon to 2 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM, officiated by Pastor Tommy Bolan. Interment will be at Flint River Cemetery.
