I always was greeted with a smile from Judy when I walked into the Off Campus College Bookstore.  All of the ladies treated me like one of their kids. It was great since my parents were living overseas when I was in college. One time, I asked if I could buy the book from my Athens State physics course so I could get credit from the engineering department at UAH. They told me I was a loyal customer and I could just borrow the book. I did get credit for the class! Judy was so kind, helpful and friendly. I will always remember her with warm feelings. Loved her dearly!

I have know Mrs. Judy almost my whole life. Our families grew up going to the same church.  Her family was so special to ours.  She was so sweet and kind always had a smile on her face. I always loved seeing her and Mr. Bill at the softball fields. Even though we were on opposites teams she always cheered my girls on! Love you Daugherty family!

When Donnie & I were engaged, you were so excited! You asked me to stop by your house on my way home from the bridal tea my aunts gave me in New Hope. You were so happy to see all the gifts given to us when I opened my trunk lid. 
You were ecstatic when you found out about our first baby! 
I will miss you more than you'll ever know, I'm afraid. We became Facebook friends even when Donnie and I were no longer husband and wife. You wanted to keep in touch as much as I did.
I was unable to attend your services on Thursday due to an illness, but rest assured I quizzed Rachael about every minute of it. 
I am in prayer over Bill & your precious children and grandchildren.
You were a great friend/sister in law & I feel so honoured to have known you. May you rest in peace my beautiful friend.

Sorry to hear of Judy's passing she was a choice servant of God always enjoyed talking to her and Bill at our family breakfast.

Judy was one of the sweetest people I have ever known!  My earliest memory of Judy was staying with her when my momma was in the hospital having my little sister!  Judy loved on me all day and even played Barbie  dolls with me!  She was more than just family and I saw her and Bill every Sunday  at church growing up.  She always had the sweetest smile and the warmest hugs!  Judy helped to mold me into the person I am today by encouraging me when I graduated from high school and got my first job, to being my wedding planner, and hosting bridal and  baby showers!  I know that Judy is celebrating in heaven with loved ones and friends gone before her!  What a party they must be having as they welcome her home!  I pray that God provides each family member here on Earth the comfort of knowing she’s with the Father and she is completely healed!  Much love!

I first met Judy when she worked at the off campus bookstore and always thought she was a very sweet woman. Then years later, I realized that she was my dear friend, Lynn's mom.

After that, she and I became FB Friends and often chatted with one another. She was always just the sweetest lady and anytime we saw each other in person she would hug me and make me feel so special to her. It was like I was a life-long friend.

I know she will be missed by many who loved her and I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven one day.

I will always remember Mrs. Daugherty.   She invited me to her home many times with open arms when I was a child.  She had a way of making anyone feel welcome.  

She and Mr. Daugherty raised 3 beautiful children.  Please know I am thinking of you and will never ever forget your mother’s influence in my life.  

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Special Lady and friend.
