Kathryn Sue Kindler, aged 62, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and devotion to her family. Born on December 8, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Henry Kindler and Karol Barnikow Rowland.
A resident of the area, Kathryn was known for her deep care for her family and her unwavering enthusiasm for Alabama football. Her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating memories that her family will cherish forever.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur; her mother, Karol; her stepmother, Gloria Kindler and sister-in-law, Michelle Kindler.
Kathryn is survived by her devoted husband, Sam Horn; her two sons, Jeremy Kindler and Chris Kindler (wife Courtney); and her two brothers, Ray Kindler and Jim Kindler (wife Okui). She also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren who were the light of her life: Anthony, Austin, Zachary, Cason, and Calie.
A service to honor Kathryn’s life will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home.
