

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Skinner who recently celebrated his 93rd birthday. He served his country by enlisting in the US Navy and also as a civil servant with the US Army. He shared his time and talents with the community by serving in the Harvest Volunteer Fire Department and by working at Volunteers of America. He was a skilled carpenter and builder and was always willing to share his skills and talents with others. He loved to travel and never met a stranger.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, son Jeffery, daughter Jeannie, sister Margaret, and brother Dean.
Kenneth is survived by his sister Helen, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who love him for his loving kindness and generosity.
Visitation for Kenneth will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be the celebration of life service with military honors at 3:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Kenneth will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd, Huntsville, AL 35811.
