

Linda Silvernail passed away from this earthly life and she entered her heavenly home on Sunday September 12, 2021. She was born Monday July 15, 1963. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; John and Ann Estile of Nashville, Tennessee.
Linda is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Lee Silvernail Jr., LTC (RET) US Army; children, John David Silvernail and Laura Lee Silvernail, and one grandson, Paxton Silvernail, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was a Christian, a mother, grandmother an Army wife, and a graduate of Lipscomb University. She was a caring, loving and sweet individual that brightened every room she entered. She enjoyed woodworking, crafts, baking, sewing and making specialty birthday cakes.
She worked for the State of Tennessee in her younger years and provided social work to the Nashville community. Linda was the President of the Nashville Business Professional Women’s Organization in 1990-1991. She was well versed in Robert’s Rules of Order and did not hesitate to enforce them. Linda spent 14 years as an Army wife and supported soldiers as a Family Support Advocate at numerous locations across the country.
She distinguished herself as President of the White Sands Club, volunteer for the Second Launch Thrift Shop, and Service Manager for the Missile Valley Girl Scouts.
In the last 12 years since Linda and Dave left the Army, Linda supported Boy Scout Troops 7086 and 7021 as the Secretary, Treasurer, and Training Coordinator. As the Scoutmaster’s wife she provided logistical support in all areas, coordinated numerous scouting events and created multiple websites.
Over the last 3 years she was instrumental in the establishment of the American Legion Post 229 Ladies Auxiliary in Madison, AL. Linda served as the units First Vice President and Secretary.
In all her endeavors, she exemplified the volunteer spirit of sharing and caring. She was a loving wife and mother who deeply cherished her family and her Christian faith. In her quiet and loving way, Linda influenced everyone around her and made the world a better place. She will be deeply missed by all.
