

Mother was born in Wylam, AL to George William and Jessi P. Hunt. She was the youngest of Ten children and learned early the love of a large family. After graduation of high school and the return of Daddy from WWII, they were married in 1946 in East Lake Alabama and after they begin their own legacy of love with their five children, she started her career. She retired from Loveman’s Department Store and then Bromberg’s Jewelry Store where she was honored with the top Million Dollar sales representative and was an activity member of the Women Business Association. Mother was a lady of complete integrity with each of her customers and took pride to provide her sweet smile and knowledge in all she did. Mom and Dad were members of Murphy Hill Baptist Church, where she served on the alter staff using her talents in creating flower arrangements for all occasions and then a member of First Baptist of Meridianville. Mother is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband William Martin of seventy years, her daughter Dolores M. Bryant and granddaughter Dawn Marie.
She is survived by her brother Bill Hunt and her children Donald Martin (Gloria) of Annistion, AL, Gary Martin (Charlene) of Meridianville, Betty M. Jackson (Lee) and George Martin (Kim) of Huntsville, AL. Also a long loving life of thirteen grandchildren: Alan, Mark, Heather, Kerri, Daniel, Lisa, April, Jennie, Stacey, Zachary, Alicia, Haley and Mary Kate. Twenty four great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
Visitation for Margaret will be held Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Margaret will be laid to rest at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
