Martha L. Bowie, 76 of Gurley Alabama, went home to be with the Lord March 18, 2023. Martha was born October 18, 1946 in Hampstead, Maryland; and as a devoted military wife, lived in many states over her lifetime. She graduated from North Carroll High School in 1965 and held a variety of retail positions while faithfully serving as a wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ken; two daughters Tabatha Peterson and Melanie Knuutila; and three grandchildren, Delaney, Kade, and Sidney.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23 from 5pm until 8pm, at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 24 at 11am at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Love with Chaplain Todd Oldham officiating.
