MURIEL IONE YOUNG January 29, 1927 – October 10, 2016 Muriel Young, 89, passed away peacefully at home Monday evening surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lillian Bjorn Benton; and her loving husband of 55 years, Robert A. Young. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Karen A. Grimes (John) of New Market; her son, Kent A. Young of Park City, UT; Grandchildren, Ryan A. Young (Jessica) and Lyndsey E. Doeberling (Ryan); Great Grandchildren, Leeland and Everett Doeberling; her nephew, Michael Fryman; other relatives and friends; and her beloved cat, Murphy. Muriel liked to cook and especially bake for others. Her cookies, pies and cakes were out of this world good! She loved and praised the Lord and believed in the value of home and family. She was originally from North Dakota but had lived in Ohio most of her life and then Alabama for several years. She attended Union Grove Baptist Church. Muriel Young was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family on Friday, October 14, 2014 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 12:00Noon until 2:00PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Pastor Billy Langford in Valhalla’s Chapel commencing at 2:00 PM. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
