Rachel “Memaw” McClintock, 81 of Huntsville, Alabama went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, May 22nd. Visitation will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens on Thursday, May 26th from 1:00-3:00 pm with services immediately following. Reverend Leroy Landers will officiate and burial will follow at Valhalla. Rachel was born in Ramer, TN to Odell and Ruby Moore on November 23, 1934. She loved her family and enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren play baseball. Her love of life and family compelled her to live life to its fullest. Though she had many physical hardships, she pressed on making the most of every moment. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved shopping and jewelry and was known to many as “Ms. Bling-Bling”. Her love for people extended outside her family to anyone in need. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Ruby Moore and a loving husband; Frank McClintock. She is survived by her brother Dale Moore of Olive Hill, TN; three daughters Deborah Nabors, Donna Landers (Leroy) and Sheila Baker (Pete) and five grandchildren Crystal Moore, James Meeks, Shelby Danner (Lorie), David Baker (Amy) and Jessica Baker as well as thirteen beautiful great-grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion and forgiveness and will be greatly missed by those honored to know her. For friends and family, her life will continue through the many wonderful memories she gave us…”Her memory is our gift, with which we will never part, God has her in His keeping, we have her in our heart.” A special thank you to Marie Bailey and the amazing staff of Gentiva Hospice for your extraordinary care for our mother.
