Mr. Ronald Dean Tyree

September 29, 1941 – February 17, 2016

Ronald Dean Tyree, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Tyree was preceded in death by his parents, William Morris and Mary Elizabeth Cook Tyree.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of over 55 years, Zandra Jean Henley Tyree; his daughter, Ginger (Daniel) Zolynsky of Madison; his son, Tim Tyree of Romulus, MI; a sister, Ella Sue Woody of Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Chad, Chelsea, Anna and Madison; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends.

Ron was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army after retiring was very involved with various veterans programs. He served as a supervisor at General Motors in Michigan for over 30 years. He liked to watch Alabama Football, golfing and all kids, especially his grandkids! He was fascinated with the biblical story of Noah and studied on the measurements of the Ark. He was happiest when the family traveled together to the mountains of eastern KY, Lakeport, MI or Ft. Myers, FL. Ronald Dean Tyree was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

You may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 1:00PM-3:00PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Bro. Robert Sharp in Valhalla’s Chapel commencing at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association.
