I haven't seen Shirley in a long time; I retired in 1998 from Butler.  However, I do remember her as a soft-spoken lady with a heart for those students she helped.   From a teacher's standpoint, working with her was extremely easy. What a delight she was.  I will keep the Parker family in my prayers.

I knew Shirley from Bowling on leagues with her. She always picked me up when i was down. I will miss her very much. I was 1 of her adopted kids....i will always remember her as a sweet, kind & loving friend.  Till we meet again miss Shirley!!

We worked with Shirley at both Butler and Stone as she worked with the visually impaired students.  What a great service by a wonderful person. She always had the best interest of her students at heart and was really admired by the faculties. She will always be missed on her long walks around our neighborhood of Sherwood Park.

My thoughts are with the Parker family today. I hope they are all comforted in knowing how much Shirley's love and laughter meant to those who knew her. She will be missed very much.

Bill, Frankie, Kendra, Brittany, and Jeff, the world is a sadder place without Shirley. She was a beloved daughter, neice, aunt and most certainly sister. I comfort myself thinking that her, Velma and Mamma are having a grand time in heaven.

Shirley will be greatly missed.  She was a wonderful lady whom I wish I could have known better.  I grieve both for her and for Harrell, whom I knew as a outstanding soldier from the years we served together.  This is so sad and there really are no adequate words.

I know that your mother will be missed immensely.  I have only known her for four years, but she was the sweetest, dearest friend when we were bowling together.  I will never forget her kindness, and her sweet, beautiful smile!
