Mr. Walter Dudley Caldwell Sr.

April 12, 1926 – September 18, 2014

Mr. Walter D. Caldwell, Sr., 88, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Caldwell was preceded in

death by his parents, James Caldwell and Jessie Howell Caldwell; by his brothers, Warren Caldwell, James Caldwell, John Caldwell and Donald Caldwell;

and by his sister, Laurens Caldwell.

Mr. Caldwell is survived by his two daughters, Vicki Spray (David), and Janice Rogers; and his son, Walter Caldwell Jr. (Yesenia); 5 Grandchildren, Tommy

Buchholz, Laura Rhodes, Kevin Caldwell, Melissa Caldwell, and Walter Caldwell III; 2 step grandchildren, Doris Spray and Donna Fisher; 7 great-

grandchildren, and 7 nieces and nephews.

“Walt” was a NASA employee for 30 years. He was a vibrant Christian man and a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church for over 50 years. He loved

golfing, watching Alabama football, meeting for the weekly breakfast with the “Romeos” of Whitesburg and serving in the church at the Roc Center.

You may visit with the family at Whitesburg Baptist Church on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. There will be a funeral service

officiated by Dr. Jimmy Jackson commencing at 10:00 AM in the main sanctuary of Whitesburg Baptist Church. The interment will immediately follow at

Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association. Please see the following
