

Betty Ann Stohler Kremer passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 28, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1934, in New Castle, IN, the daughter of the late Raymond Eugene Stohler and Hazel Foulke Stohler. An educator, artist, gardener, and sports lover, Betty also enjoyed traveling.
At New Castle High School, she was a cheerleader, graduating with the class of 1952. Betty attended Indiana University, where she was also a cheerleader. She then graduated from Ball State University, obtaining both a bachelor's and master's degree in Education. For over 40 years, Betty taught school in Muncie and Indianapolis. Betty was an accomplished artist, and studied painting at the Indianapolis Art Center for many years. She inherited her mother's green thumb, earning Master Gardener Certification and creating lovely gardens.
Above all, she was the beloved wife of the late Harry Kremer Jr. They were season ticket supporters of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and spent winters on Sanibel Island, FLorida. Betty and Harry were devoted members of Second Presbyterian Church.
Betty was predeceased by brother, Robert Lee Stohler (Delores Dewerpe Stohler, deceased) of Bloomfield Hills, MI. She is survived by her brothers, Larry Gene Stohler (Marsha Unger Stohler, deceased) of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Jerry Dean Stohler (Judy Hay Stohler) of Carmel, IN. She delighted in her several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Milner Chapel at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46260, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Betty will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to benefit the Fine Arts program at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.
