March 7, 1966 - July 6, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Cynthia Marie (Allen) Bryant, who tragically left us on July 6, 2025, following a car accident in Lebanon, Indiana. She passed away alongside her beloved husband, Rod Bryant, and stepson, Jace Bryant. Their loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved them. Yet, we take comfort in knowing Cynthia is now at peace, home with the Lord.
Cynthia was born on March 7, 1966, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Wayne and Dorothy Allen. She graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1984 and in 1991 earned a Communications degree from Purdue University.
Known for her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, Cynthia balanced family life with a diverse career. She spent time at home raising her children and making handcrafted candles, then built a professional path focused on developing others. Her work included roles in employee training and leadership development, eventually leading to a senior position at Purdue University as an Assistant Director of Organizational Effectiveness.
Cynthia’s heart for service extended far beyond her career. At Rock Point Church in Crawfordsville, she served as a greeter, worked in childcare, and prepared meals for recovery programs. She also led with Girls Nite International and volunteered during LOVE WEEK, helping neighbors in need. Later, at the Church at the Crossing, she continued her outreach through greeting and childcare, food pantry work, and leading small church groups in her home with her husband.
She is survived by her loving children, Conner Davis and Sarah Davis, stepson Adam Davis (Taylor) and four grandchildren, as well as her sister, Suzi Gephart (Ray), and her twin brother, Scott Allen. Nephews Dana and Cary Gephart, nieces Alexis Pierce (Clay) and Isabella Allen, as well as five grandnieces and four grandnephews. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and all who had the honor of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held at the Church at the Crossing on Monday, July 21st. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by the service at 5:00 p.m.
