Eleanor J. Boyd

86, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, formerly of Carmel and Indianapolis, Indiana, departed this life November 3, 2018. She was born August 22, 1932 in Martinsville IN to the late Sarah and Elijah Kivett. Eleanor was a longtime and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She rarely passed up a game of cards and also enjoyed playing tennis. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Boyd; sister, Sally Boyd Sheets and daughter, Trudi L. Boyd. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Cynthia A. Boyd Steffens; grandsons, Christopher (Elizabeth) Steffens and David Steffens and great-grandchildren Elijah, Ethan and Eleanor Steffens and Connor Menzel and brother, James Allen Kivett. Family and friends are invited to gather in the First Baptist Church parlor at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 17th. A celebration of life service for Eleanor will follow at 1:30 pm in the sanctuary. Inurnment will conclude services in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, Indiana.
