 Obituario de Gary John Beechler
Gary John Beechler, 67, of Indianapolis Indiana, departed this life Friday, April 23, 2021 peacefully and surrounded by his family. He was born on October 18, 1953 in Charlotte, Michigan to the late Cash and Rosemary (Parkhurst) Beechler. The family moved to Sylvania Ohio in 1959. Gary was a natural at golf and won countless tournaments in high school and was even inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in October of 2017. He went on to become a professional golfer and club pro in Ohio and Florida. In his second career he worked in transportation sales, but his heart was never far from the golf course. Gary was a kind and gentle soul who relaxed by playing one of his many guitars, smoking a brisket on his Big Green Egg, catching a White Sox game, and tending to his indoor plants. He was happiest making lasting memories with his family and friends in his own witty (sarcastic) way. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Rose Langham, and father-in-law, Steve Langham. Gary had a very special bond with Steve during his journey through dementia. Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Angie (Langham) Beechler; son Jacob (Maggie) Beechler; brothers Cash “Bud” (Sue) Beechler and Chris (Sue) Beechler, as well as sisters-in-law Cathy (Rick Kocerha) Langham and Margaret Langham; brothers-in-law, Ed (Susan) Langham, John (Lisa) Langham and Jim (Handan) Langham; several nieces and nephews; his devoted Australian Shepherd, Lucy, as well as a host of friends, and many golfers grateful for his tips. Memorial visitation for Gary will begin at noon on Saturday, May 22nd at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel (740 E. 86th St. Indianapolis) and conclude at the time of services at 2:00 pm. Services will be officiated by Gary’s nephew, Fr. Todd Goodson. Memorial contributions in Gary’s name are suggested to Indiana Lyons Eye Bank Inc., Vision First.
