Lawrence R. Ries, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away April 7, 2020. He was born in Detroit, MI on August 9, 1939 to Richard and Mary Rose Ries. Lawrence married Katherine Mahler in January 2012 and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, David and James Ries; and second wife, Pat Ries. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Babcock (Bill); granddaughter, Amanda Ries; two sisters, Pearl Ries and Sr. Jeanne (LSP) , first wife, Darlene Richards; niece, Margaret Ries and nephew, Michael Ries.
Lawrence was a veteran of the US Army and was a long time employee of Chrysler in the Auto Parts Department.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date. Mr. Ries will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
