Lynn Glassford Cook

58, of Indianapolis departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Lynn was born in Indianapolis on April 5, 1964 to Russ and Ann (Heun) Glassford. On December 19, 1987, she married her love, David Cook in Indianapolis at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother raising her family, she had also worked as an after school caregiver at Mary Castle Elementary School and Allisonville Elementary School.

Lynn was a kind and gentle soul who was happiest making memories with her family and friends. She was an accomplished crocheter, making dozens of afghan blankets for family and friends over the years. She was dedicated to her family and her son’s endeavors. She especially enjoyed being a ‘Choir Mom’.

Lynn was preceded in death by her dad, Russ Glassford. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Cook; grateful sons, Kyle and Jake Cook; her devoted mother, Ann Glassford and dear sisters, Lori (Norman) Miller and Gail (Brian) Boelke and several loving in-laws.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel on Saturday, April 30th from 4 – 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Lynn’s name to The American Cancer Society.
