 Obituario de Margaret "Muffy" Wagner
Mrs. Margaret "Muffy" Wagner, born on November 3, 1930 in Belmont, Massachusetts, passed away at age 89 on September 5, 2020. Muffy was married to her beloved husband Charlie for 62 years, with whom she raised seven children. Muffy graduated from Mt. Auburn nursing school in Massachusetts in 1951, then worked as a contract nurse for the U.S. military, making numerous round trips from New York to Germany, where she met her sweetheart Charlie, then in the Army. After starting their family in Portland, Oregon, Muffy & Charlie moved to Indianapolis, where they spent the remainder of their married life happily together. Muffy was a devout Catholic and an active member of Immaculate of Heart of Mary parish, then St. Pius X. In addition to raising seven children, she volunteered to read to the blind and also delivered meals to the elderly. Muffy loved the ocean, the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame. She enjoyed visiting Hilton Head Island as well as her family home in the seaside town of Scituate, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; daughter, Mary Nelson; sisters, Pat Gillis, Jean Smolenski, and Sheila Fleming, and brother John Fleming. Muffy is survived by her sons, Charles (Elissa), Daniel (Jan), John and Michael (Lisa); daughters, Margaret Bower (Michael) and Ann Bourque (Peter); sister, Mary Fleming and brother Frank Fleming; grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, Ian, Heather, Hannah, Nick, Mark, Lexie, Jack, Kathleen, Brendan, Molly, Guerin, Emma, Mary, Erik, Brian and Joe; great grandchildren Graham and Logan; and niece, Theresa Hufford (Andy). Friends and family members may attend the visitation from 9:30-10:30am on Saturday, September 12th immediately followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:30 am, both at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis.
