 Obituario de Michael John Shine
Michael John Shine, Indianapolis – Mike, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many, departed this life Thursday, May 6, 2021. Mike was born April 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jeremiah Joseph and Eleanor Jane (Flaherty) Shine, Sr. Mike was a 1962 graduate of Cathedral High School. He met the love of his life, his late wife Beth, at a high school dance with the Ladywood Academy. Mike was a kind and gentle soul who devoted his life to caring and providing for his family. He was a man of faith who found true happiness in making memories with his loving family and friends. Mike enjoyed a good football game and rarely missed a Notre Dame contest. He loved auto racing of all sorts and likely never missed an Indianapolis 500. He took great pleasure in relaxing on a golf course or simply being with his family. Mike worked in commercial real estate for many years and then got into real estate development. Throughout this career he developed a sense and mastery of many home maintenance trades. He loved to remodel properties and wasn’t afraid of any challenge. His proudest achievement was remodeling a home for his family in Fontana, Wisconsin on Lake Geneva. Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Shine. He is survived by his devoted children, Conor and Alison Shine; dear siblings, Sheila Shine, Mary Ann O’Bryan, Jeremiah Shine, Jr., Janet Hatton, Kevin Shine, Eileen Howell and Patricia Funk; his sweet dog Marco; thirty nieces and nephews and a host of old friends. Mike and his family are forever grateful for the physicians and staff at 7 North Organ Transplant Unit at Methodist Hospital.
