Nancy Fowler Elliott

Nancy Fowler Elliott, Carmel, IN passed away on February 8, 2026. She was born November 28th,1939 in Battle Creek, Iowa to David Glenn and Grace Moorehead Fowler. The Family moved to Indianapolis when she was two years old.

After graduating from Broad Ripple High School, Nancy attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

She was a homemaker and spent many years doing volunteer work at her children’s schools and in the community. Organizations include The Children’s Museum Guild, St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild, Indianapolis Medical Alliance and Ronald McDonald House. Being a talented pianist herself, she was an active participant in the initial organization of the American Pianists Association. She also had great fun performing in many Lambs Club and Players shows.

Nancy always kept busy with knitting, needlepoint projects and art classes, producing many beautiful items for home and family. She also belonged to Meridian Hills Country Club in Indianapolis and Bonita Bay Club in Florida.

She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, belonging to several crossword clubs and participating in national crossword tournaments. After many years of playing tennis and golf, bridge became her favorite activity. But most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren gave her the most happiness.

Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Daniel R. Elliott. She had four children and spouses, Dr. Eric Elliott (Susan), Kristyn Elliott (Paul), Alison Elliott-Yarden (Nir), and Jonathan S. Elliott (Karen), and ten grandchildren; brother Robert A. Fowler.

A celebration of life for Nancy will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, February 21st at Leppert Mortuary Nora Chapel followed immediately by a reception with food and beverage. Private interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions are suggested in Nancy’s name to: Children’s Museum Guild, Parkinson’s Foundation or to Ida County Historical Society.
