Mr. Norman K. Stouffer

Norman Kenneth Stouffer, 85, of Indianapolis departed this life Monday, October 14, 2019 at his home. Norm was born April 27, 1934 in Giltner, Nebraska to the late Raymond Earl and Leta Irene (Hunnicutt) Stouffer. Norm proudly served his country in the United States Army at the end of the Korean War. Norm followed Will Roger’s advice to never meet a stranger and always have a kind word or say nothing at all. He was happiest making memories with his family and friends and had a deep appreciation for the history and cultures of the West. He worked most of his life in telecommunications (telephony) as a field engineer and in sales. He traversed the country with his work and had many wonderful tales to tell. Norm was active in the Assemblies of God Church and a member of the Life Church, Eagle Creek Campus. He could always be found working on home projects, solving Sodoku puzzles, reading or helping family and others. He delighted in his grandchildren and made a point of being active in what was important to them. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anna “Delite” (Cranor) Stouffer; his loving daughters, Norma (Todd) McBride and Cynde Stouffer; his dear grandchildren who called him Papa, Alexandra Stouffer, Jonathan (Patti) Stouffer, Miranda McBride, Evan McBride, special cousin Meg Vanneste, and a host of other dear cousins and church family. Visitation for Norm will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 18th and conclude at time of funeral service at 3:30 pm at Life Church Eagle Creek Campus (5901 Lafayette Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254).
