Olive Louise Norris Plotner, 101, passed peacefully at her home in Indianapolis on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was born March 11, 1917 to Cleo Karn and Jacob Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darl, and two older siblings, Harold Norris and Esther Walters.
Olive and her husband of nearly 75 years, Darl, owned Plotner’s Style Shops in Logansport, Peru, Kokomo, Carmel, and Indianapolis.
She was an inspiration to many on how to live a long, healthy, and active life. Her sense of style and beautiful handiwork and clever wit were her trademarks. She was an outstanding caregiver to her beloved Bichon, Buffy.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Ronald) Smith; grandchildren, Jill Ingrassia (Luigi) Zingales and Kete (Karen) Cockrell; and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10-11 AM at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN, with a service immediately following at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Ever Rest Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
