Paul E. Sharpe, 78, of Carmel, passed away December 14, 2020. He was born December 6, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Paul Sharpe, Sr. and Virginia Louise (Cochran) Sharpe. He attended college for two years, and was employed by Daimler Chrysler Corporation and later New Castle Machinery, retiring with over 37 years of service as a machinist. He married Brenda Knight on September 15, 1967.
Paul was an avid stamp collector. He also enjoyed metal detecting; and would often bury treasures in the yard and go on “scavenger hunts” with his children, Brian and Lori. Paul also played the trumpet.
Along with his wife, Brenda, Paul is survived by his children, Brian P. (Jenny) Sharpe, Lori (Todd) Valence; grandchildren, Savannah R. Valence and Kylie S. Valence; brother, Mark (Karmen) Sharpe of Knoxville, Tennessee; and nephew, Tyler Sharpe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Virginia Sharpe, and step mother, Mary Sharpe.
