Robert R. Ringlespaugh

Robert R. Ringlespaugh, 93, of Indianapolis, departed this life at his home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord. Bob was born October 10, 1927 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph R. and Lucielle (McCullough) Ringlespaugh. He was a 1945 graduate of Ben Davis High School and had attended Indiana State University and then served his country in the United States Army. On June 28, 1953, Bob married the love of his life, Dorothy Streeter. Bob was a kind and gentle soul who worked with great dedication for the United States Postal Service for 40 years, 25 years as a letter carrier. He was a longtime member of Crossbridge Baptist Church and enjoyed quiet times with a good book, and reading his Bible every morning. He loved being outdoors and loved playing horseshoes in his younger days. Bob also enjoyed following local sports teams, especially the Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis Indians. He was happiest though making memories with his beloved family and rarely passed on an opportunity to watch his Chicago Cubs. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Dorothy Ringlespaugh; his loving daughter, Cindi (Dennis) Myers and his grateful granddaughter, Taylor Marie (Matt) and two nieces and three nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary, Ross and Ronald. A memorial service for Bob will be announced at a later date. Online condolences available at: wwww.leppertmortuary.com
