

Bill was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, November 5th, 1955, and was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School. Bill attended Indiana University where he majored in business.
He was a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and served as Vice President of the Lambda Chapter Board of Directors for many years. Bill’s most recent post with Lambda Chapter was as President of the Board.
Bill enjoyed a varied career that took him all over the United States during his lifetime serving as sales manager, product manager, and purchasing manager to name a few. He spent the last 16 years of his career working for Buckingham Companies where Bill also invested time with the Buckingham Foundation.
Bill was an avid traveler and scuba diver. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and spending time with his family and especially his grand-nieces and nephew. Bill had the ability to make friends easily and valued those friendships new and old. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, as a loyal friend, a loving brother and his ability to face illness and adversity with courage and humility.
He is preceded in death by his father William E. Chambers, his mother Beverly A. Chambers, and sister Julia H. Chambers. He is survived by brothers, Phillip E. Chambers (Karen), and Bradley B. Chambers, (Carol). Nephews David B. Chambers (Allison), Brandon M. Chambers (Elyse) and Nicholas P. Chambers and six grand nieces and nephews.
A service in memory of Bill’s life will take place on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Paul’s Church, 6050 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46208. Visitation at the church will start at 4:00 followed by Sigma Chi Fraternal Services at 5:45pm then his funeral service at 6:00pm. Bill will be laid to rest at a private family burial following the service. A reception follows at White River Yacht Club.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to the Buckingham Foundation, Inc. or Indianapolis Humane Society.
