

Mac Millan, Angus Daniel – (89), of Judique, died in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Born on February 7, 1922, at Campbell’s Road, Judique, he was a son of the late John A. and Flora (MacDonnell) Mac Millan. Angus was predeceased by his wife, Hughanna (Loopie – Mac Neil). He is survived by daughters, Mary (Joe Farrell), Halifax and Cathy, Judique; sons, Norman (Anna), Judique; Danny (Kim), St. Croix and Bobby, Alberta; four grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Evelyn), Toronto and Alexander (Anne), Halifax; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine (John) O’Leary, Halifax. Angus was a retired clerk from the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, Port Hawkesbury store and a former employee of the Halifax Ship Yards. Angus enjoyed watching, playing and umpiring softball games and card games “Auction” and “63”; he also had a green thumb for vegetable gardens and flowers.

Visitation will take place in the Judique Chapel of Inverness Funeral Home, Judique on Wednesday, December 28 from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be held at 11 am in St. Andrew’s Church, Judique on Friday, Father Allan Mac Millan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to The Judique Volunteer Fire Dept.
