She was born in Inverness on May 29th 1930 to the late William and Georgina (Moret) MacQuarrie.
Connie studied Nursing at St Joseph's Hospital in Glace Bay graduating in 1951.
She worked with dedication and compassion throughout her career first at Saint Mary's and later at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Her leadership and knowledge were invaluable to all who knew her.
Connie's favorite pastime was fishing always carrying her rod and reel in her trunk.
While she had no children of her own, she made sure her younger cousins were well loved.
She was an avid reader of all the provincial newspaper and magazines, keeping up with events both locally and abroad.
She was a devoted member of Stella Marris Parish, Inverness.
Due to ill health, Connie spent her final years in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the staff at Chisholm Wing for treating Connie with love and compassion during the time she spent with them
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Saturday October 26th, 2024 from 10:00-10:45 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am with Father Daniel Tshimbalanga officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
