Florence Doucet

Doucet, Florence – 88, passed away at the Inverary Manor, October 28th, 2010. Born in Inverness on Feb 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Christena (MacDonald) MacIsaac. Beloved mother of Joe (Pauline MacPherson), Inverness; and Frances (Patrick Muldoon), Ottawa, Ont. Dear grandmother of Allan and Evan Muldoon. She will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law, Lila MacIsaac; brother-in-law, Francis MacKenzie; and nieces and nephews, Donald, Patricia, Janice, Douglas, Brian, Sandra, and Shauna. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1957; sister, Margaret Catherine (MC) MacKenzie; and brother, Alexander Daniel (AD) MacIsaac.

In her earlier years, Florence assisted at the Stella Maris Parish office and was an active member of the CWL and the Inverary Manor Auxiliary. She thoroughly enjoyed passing on her crochet skills to anyone eager to learn and her creations are still treasured in our homes.

The family wishes to thank the staff in Inverary Manor for their exemplary care over the past several years.

Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, November 1, in Inverness Funeral Home, 45 MacIsaac St., Inverness. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 2, at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Parish, Inverness with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inverary Manor or to the Stella Maris Parish Cemetery Fund, Inverness
