It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Florence "Lorraine" Elizabeth Middaugh on November 29, 2018 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Lorraine was a member of St.John's United Church and a member of Captain Angus L. MacDonald, Branch 132, Inverness. She was born in Inverness on September 10th,1942 to the late Neil MacKinnon and Jessie (Fraser) MacKinnon. She was the loving wife of Robert; devoted mother to Robert (Rob) and grandmother to Chris and Brandy.
You could always count on Lorraine for a warm cup of tea along with a little treat. You could sit and listen as she shared stories of the past. Her kind heart always being given to everyone she met. Lorraine's faith in God was always shown in her love for life and her kindness. She worked as a nurse for over 25 years in Grandview Lodge in Dunnville, Ont. and touched many people along the way.
Lorraine is also survived by brothers, D.R. (Kaye) MacKinnon, Jackie (Gloria) MacKinnon, Neil "Sonny" Fraser; sisters, Jean Kathleen MacLean, Margaretanna (Bruce) Publicover; sister-in-law, Rose Marie MacKinnon.
Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by brother, Lauchie Charlie; and sister-in-law, Ann Fraser.
Visitation will be held in St. John's United Church, Strathlorne on Friday, December 7th from 10-10:45 a.m. Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Maggie Plant celebrating. Burial at a later date. Memorial donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to St. John's United Church, Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to a charity of your choice.
