

MacIsaac, Jessie Margaret - 89, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Pere Fiset Nursing Home in Cheticamp on Friday, March 2, 2012. Born in Inverness, Jessie was the only daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (MacDougall) MacIsaac. Jessie was a very young girl when her mom passed. She went to live at West Lake Ainslie and stated with the Taylor-MacKinnon family. She then moved back to Inverness and stayed at Duncan MacNeil's boarding house with her father. Jessie went to St. Joseph's Convent School, Mabou and graduated after taking secretarial course. She moved to Michigan, U.S.A. and worked there as a telephone operator. Later on, Jessie was needed at home so she returned to Inverness and lived on Mann Ave. where she was the main caregiver for her father; her uncle, Alan MacDougall; and her aunts, Margaret Agnes and Mary Matina. She is pre-deceased by her brother, John. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 6 at 11am in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating, burial to take place in the parish cemetery at a later date.
