MacKinnon, John Walker – 84, West Lake Ainslie, died June 11, 2011, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, Richmond Co. Born in West Lake Ainslie, he was a son of the late Daniel James and Catherine (MacDonald) MacKinnon. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, West Lake Ainslie. Surviving are niece, Cathy (Rod) Sutcliffe, Dartmouth; nephews, Kenny (Susan) MacLean, Foot Cape; Lauchie (Cathy) MacLean, Salt Springs. He was predeceased by brother, Allan James; sisters, Annie Mae MacLean and Annie Wilson Miller. Visitation will be in Inverness Funeral Home on Wednesday June 15, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church, West Lake Ainslie, Fr. Danny MacLennan officiating with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Immaculate Conception cemetery fund, West Lake Ainslie or to a charity of choice.
