

It is with heavy hearts and the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson – Kenzie John Beaton on Jan 28, 2012, in the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton Alta. He was the son of Debbie (MacDonald) and A.J. Beaton of Mabou Harbour. He was born December 8, 1989, at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mabou, an alter server, and Eucharistic minister. He graduated from Dalbrae Academy in 2008, where he was a member of the Dalbrae Dragons Hockey Team, and a big part of the school community. Kenzie went on to graduate from Cumberland Community College in 2010, with Utility Lineman Technician and worked with McGreger Construction as a lineman in Alberta.
His big heart, humour and infectious smile will live forever in the hearts of those he touched and the close friends he made. Kenzie’s heart belonged to Mabou Harbour where he fished lobster alongside of his dad, on the Crusing Along. He loved being home with his sisters and his Harbour buddies. Kenzie was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his mom, Debbie and father, A.J.; sisters , Kayla (Beaton) brother-in-law, Pat Mulholland, Maggie and Miya Beaton, Mabou; his loving grandparents, Margaret (Late John C Beaton) Mabou, and Kay and John Donald MacDonald, Judique; uncles, Gillis (JoAnne) MacDonald, Judique; Bradley (Brenda) Beaton, John Simon (Wanda) Beaton, Keith (Alisha) Beaton, Mabou Harbour; aunts, Annette (Donnie) MacIsaac, Judique; Donna Moran, Cape Cod, Mass.; Beverly (Grant) MacDonald, Wetaskiwan, Alta.; Darlene (Melvin) Watts, Lucille (Pete) Marcott, Port Hood; 26 first cousins, four second cousins, and many many friends.
He is predeceased by his grandfather, John C Beaton, (Mabou), and uncle Cedric Mac Donald (Judique).
Visitation will be held in the Vestry of St. Mary's Church, Mabou on Saturday, February 4th, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 6th, 2012, in St. Mary’s Parish, Mabou with Rev. Angus Morris Officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery. Donation can be made to St. Mary’s Cemetery, or Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital.
