Lexina "Zina" MacQuarrie

MacQuarrie Lexina “Zena” – age 98 years, of Kenloch, passed away on August 27, 2010, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Scotsville on January 1, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Hughie and Katie Belle (MacKay) MacDougall. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughters, Ann, Massachusetts; Bonnie (Joe), Inverness; son Morgan (Marie), Michigan and Allan (Linda),Kenloch; grandchildren, Blair, Conrad, Ellen, Troy, Tracy, Aleza, Joey, and Tricia; nine great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; brothers, John, Murdoch and Grantie and sister; Mary Catherine. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Tuesday August 31, from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. in Inverness Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held in East Lake Ainslie Presbyterian Church, East Lake Ainslie on Wednesday, September 1, at 11 a.m., with Rev Louis Ihasz celebrating. Burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Strathlorne. Donations in memory of Zena may be made to Inverary Manor, Inverness or to St. John’s cemetery Fund, Strathlorne. A special thank you to the staff of Inverary Manor, and ICMH. She left us with a lot of funny stories.
