

With sad hearts we announce the sudden death of Margaret, which occurred in Inverary Manor on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. Born in Inverness on January 29th, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Julia (MacIntosh) White. She spent most of her life in Inverness where she was very active in many organizations: Royal Canadian Legion, United Church Women, C.G.I.T., Na Mara Seniors Club, Ceilidh Trail CB Club, and was employed for many years with the Inverness School Board. Margaret never hesitated to help anyone who needed her and always took that extra step. She was an active member of St. Matthew's Church, and choir member, and up to her sickness was very involved in any activities in her Church. Right up until her death she could sing all her favourite hymns from beginning to end. Margaret was predeceased by sisters, Norma and Georgie; and brother, Kenneth. She will be so missed by her children, Sylvia, Inverness; Alexis (Bruce), Toronto, Ont.; and Earline, Burlington, Ont.; brothers, Stewart, Windsor ; Percy, Belle Cote; James (Winnie), Inverness; and Judy (Glen), Bridgewater. She is also survived by her grandchildren, her pride and joy, Krista, Jenna, Samantha, Alexandra, Hannah, and Derek; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Monday, Oct 27 from 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in St. Matthew's United Church, Inverness with Pastor Maggie Plant celebrating. Interment to follow in St. John's United Cemetery, Strathlorne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Inverness Food Bank or to Inverary Manor, Inverness.
