

Margaret Rorison, 71 of Inverness passed away peacefully at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on July 5, 2012 with her family and friends by her side. Margie was a daughter of the late John and Helen Caroline (Hill) Rorison. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family of twelve siblings. Margie was a kind, loving and generous person whom everyone loved. She worked as the head of the Laundry dept at the Inverness hospital for 38 years. Everyone who knew her loved her instantly. Margie loved animals especially her neighbor’s cat Chipit. Marg loved to go shopping but always loved to eat more than shop. Marg loved to play her accordion, harmonica and her mother’s organ. Marg’s hobbies were crocheting and playing CB Bingo. Marg is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as several grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Annie, Katherine, Helen, June, and Jessie; brothers, David, John “Jock”, William “Red”, George, Ivy and Robert.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for the late Margie Rorison will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, July 9 in the Inverness Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, July 10 from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. in St. Matthews United Church, Inverness, where the service will be held at 2 p.m., Rev. Margie Plante will officiate. Interment in Strathlorne Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
