It is with great sadness our family announce the sudden passing of Marguerite Elizabeth Gillis, age 76, on May 21, 2019.

Born to Alex Joe and Elizabeth "Shibby" MacDonald of Inverness. She worked as an R.N. in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital for 33 years and was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lorne; children, Curtis (Judy), Elaine, Jennifer (Charlie) Mulvagh and Lorraine (Jayson) Bilby; brothers, Walter and Arthur MacDonald.

She will be sorely missed by her beloved grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua, Tyler, Joe, Amelia and Claudia.

Marguerite was predeceased by her parents, Alex Joe and Elizabeth; sisters, Anita and Isabel; as well as brother, Gerry; sister-in-law, Charlotte; and grandson, Jordan.

As per her request, no flowers please. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
