Born in Inverness, August 28th, 1933, Angeline was the daughter of Charlie and Nellie (Finn) Cormier.
Angeline mostly known as Ma or Grammie was our family pillar. Her home was known as the "do drop in" because her door was always open and you were welcomed with a smile, open arms and she made everyone feel like her extended family. Angeline always gave us guidance, advice and surrounded us with so much love and raised us into the people we are today, but always reminded us "you are never too old to get a slap". She loved family gatherings, sitting around the table playing cards, playing bingo 3 nights a week, sitting watching the birds out her window, reading books by the box full, crosswords, scratch tickets and always looked forward to a dance at the legion and her drink of Baileys.
Angeline was a member of the Stella Maris Parish, Inverness and is survived by her children, Mary Mae (Cliff) Murphy, Sydney; Beatrice (Leonel) Cormier, East Margaree; Annette (Francis) MacLellan, Inverness; Paul (Marie) LeLievre, Inverness; Clifford (Debbie) LeLievre, Sydney; Angie LeLievre, Inverness; her sisters, Rita Fitzner and Josephine Melong; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Angeline was predeceased by her husband, Johnny; children, Johnny Boy, Dina (Paul) McInnis and Joe (Denise); her brothers, Pat, Philip and Charlie; and her sister, Joan and a grandchild.
Visitation for Angeline will be held in Inverness Funeral Home today, Monday, September 19th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 11am in Stella Maris Parish Church, Inverness with Fr. Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in Stella Maris Parish Cemetery.
