Mary Ann Campbell

Campbell, Mary Ann– 86 years, passed away on September 2, 2010, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Inverness on June 9, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Sarah (Chisholm) MacKinnon and raised by her adopted parents, Hughie and Annie MacKinnon,( Inverness). Mary was a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness and loved to play bingo, visit with her neighbors and especially enjoyed the visits with Agatha MacKinnon and special people Cathy and Angie MacIsaac. Mary will be sadly missed by all her family and friends and all who came to know her. She is survived by her sons, Lorne (Karen), Halifax; Joe, Angus, Kevin, Inverness; John, B.C.; Paul, Basil, Calgary; daughters, Marie (Ollie), Forsyth, New Waterford; Geraldine (John), MacLellan, Margaree; Claire (Late Allen), Inverness; Gloria, Calgary. Mary is also survived by sister, Kay Stubbert, Dartmouth; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Finley; son, Gerard; brother, Sandy and sister, Florence. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 5, from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. in Inverness Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Monday, September 6 at 11 am with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Inverary Manor, or to Stella Maris Parish Cemetery Fund, Inverness.
