

MacNeil Mary Anne passed away on Friday September 2, 2011 in Inverary Manor, Inverness with family by her side. She was born in North East Mabou on October 14, 1921 the daughter of the late Sandy and Mary (Cameron) Campbell. Mary Anne was a member of St. Mary’s parish, Mabou .She was a role model for all who knew her and a hard worker her entire life. She is survived by sons and daughters Rebecca (late Joe) MacDonald, Colindale; Sandy (Rosie), Rankinville; Jeanette MacNeil, S.W. Mabou; Donald (Linda), Pickle Lake Ont; Mary (Don) Hoopey, Sackville N.S; Marion (John) MacLean, N.E. Mabou; Lawrence (Judy), Sudbury Ont; Archie (Margie), Rankinville; Ramona (Barry) Miller, Inverness; Neil (Louise), Rankinville; David (Darlene) Dowling, Ont; Vincent, Rankinville; Earl (Arlene), Rankinville. Mary Anne also is survived by 59 grandchildren and 67 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander MacNeil who died on Nov 4, 2010, her son, Angus on May 9, 1992, also three children in infancy; sisters, Jessie Cosman and Sarah Beaton, brothers, Donald, Dougald, John Alex, Donald Angus and Alex Angus. Visitation will be held in the vestry of St. Mary’s Church on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday from St. Mary’s Church, Mabou at 11 am with Fr. Angus Morris officiating, burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Inverary Manor, Inverness.
