Robert Lloyd

Lloyd,Robert - Age 60, Inverness, passed away peacefully in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital with his family by his side on May 4, 2012. Born in Inverness on April 17, 1952, he was a son of the late Robert “Bob” and Christine (MacLellan) Lloyd.

Robert's life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His laughter and kind heart, wit, and love for animals brought so much joy to our family. Robert is survived by his sisters, Catherine (Joe) Aucoin, New Glasgow; Christena Faber, Inverness and Josephine (Kenneth) Doucet, Inverness; sister-in-law, Mary Lloyd, New Glasgow and brother-in-law, Rev. Robert Faber, Wisconsin, U.S.A.; nephews, Edward Aucoin, Kirk and Kristian Faber, Jason Lloyd, David and Kenneth Doucet; neices, Barbara Aucoin, Erika Faber (godchild), Felicia Lloyd; grand nephews, Shawn, Noah, Ethan, Brayden, James, grand neices, Emily and Breanna; aunts, Jessie Morrison, Mary Copan, New Waterford; Kay Kennedy, Brookline Mass., and Lena Lloyd, British Columbia.

Robert was predeceased by his brother, John A. Lloyd. Cremation has taken place with visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. with Funeral mass to follow at 11 am.on Saturday, May 12, in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, with Rev. Doug Mac Donald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
